Hi, I’m Sean. Damn glad to meet you.
My mind is an incessant whir of new ideas and Nutella. I have a million ideas a day, and most of them are about how I can make things that I think are beautiful. Whether at my day job buildingĀ map-based web applications for the State of New Jersey’s Office of GIS. Or when I leave the office and am in my workshop making stained glass or working with wood. To be honest, I wish I had the discipline to see more of my ideas through. I should probably start writing them down.
A little bit more
I spend a lot of time outdoors. I have worked as a snowboard instructor, kayak instructor, rowing coach and bike mechanic. Speaking of bikes, I have raced them too, mountain, road and on the track. I am currently in the process of training to race in the 2013 Great Divide Mountain Bike Race. I haven’t raced for a number of years, so this next year and a half are going to be fun.
Inspirations
I find a lot of my inspiration in nature, the shapes, colors, smells, all of these things have helped to make me what I am. Frank Lloyd Wright and the American Arts and Crafts Movement have also given me inspiration when coming up with ideas.
